Carry me in your dreams (Albania song)

Lyrics
Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Final
Albania

Performer: Kejsi Tola
Song title: Carry Me In Your Dreams
Song writer(s): Agim Doçi
Song composer(s): Edmond Zhulali

My love for you grows with each passing day
I’m by your side when you’re away
When I miss you and long for your care
I close my eyes and you there.

All that I ask is one moment in time
No strings attached, no drawing lines
You fill my thoughts even when you’re not here
I close my eyes, close my eyes and I feel
You’re there!

Take my love, take my heart
Carry me with you in your dreams
No, no never let go
Wonder of love – Magical glow.

Take my love, take my heart
Carry me with you in your dreams
No, no never let go
Wonder of love – Magical glow.

All that I ask is one moment in time
No strings attached, no drawing lines
You fill my thoughts even when you’re not here
I close my eyes, close my eyes and I feel
You’re there!

Take my love, take my heart
Carry me with you in your dreams
No, no never let go
Wonder of love – Magical glow.

Search for me in your dreams
Search for me, it’s where I’ll be.

Take my love, take my heart
Carry me with you in your dreams
No, no never let go
Wonder of love – Magical glow. (2)

Eurovision 2009 Finalists

Runner-up is Iceland, my favourite beautiful princess Yohanna with ballad "Is it true?"!

It's a miracle because nobody predicted Icelend to rise so high! I wished her success and the miracle had happened.

Third place is Azerbaidjan with Arash and a hit song "You are always on my mind" which I liked too.

4 - Turkey, Hadise

5 - UK, Jade Ewen and Andrew Lloyd Webber "It's my time" Good song - but for a musical, not for Eurovision.

6 - Estonia - pretty Sanrda and Urban Symphony, one of my favourites too. Magic song.

7 - Greece - Sakis Rouvas - This is our night

8 - France - Patricia Kaas
The singer still looks well but there was no song!

9 - Bosnia & Herzegovina - Bistra Voda

Armenia - Inga & Anush - 10 - great costumes but I didn't like the song. "Everybody move your body" in national costumes looks and sounds awful!

Russia (Anastasia Prihodko) is 11. I really liked her perfomance at rehearsal but she was not so convincing during final. And the screens where she grew old... It was original but many said it looked like a horror movie, too disgusting.

Ukraine - Svetlana Loboda - Anti-Crisis girl is 12. Sorry about it, she deserved more.

I also enjoyed very much song and a girl-singer from Albania (Albania again) -
Kejsi Tola - Carry Me In Your Dreams though she is just 17.

Poor opera singer Malena from Sweden - 21 and Chiara (Malta) - 22. Really strong voices, but nobody appreciated them.

Eurovision 2009 Final

The best Eurovision show which I have ever seen! Brilliant perfomance! Long live Russia! Excellent!
Sure all countries were sincere when thanked for the great show and even spoke Russian!

Most contestants performed properly. Though some were a little nervous (Prihodko, Yohanna, Sandra etc.) and I am happy that have seen them before when they showed their best.

Alexander Rybak from Norway is a winner.

He is a nice boy, charming, sincere and charismatic. And almost Russian. Glad for him.

Eurovision - Rehearsal

Yes I did it! I have visited Dress Rehearsal on Friday evening.

It was really interesting and exciting, especially as I have been to Olympiskiy for the first time. And maybe for the last. It's a huge building and if you are not sitting just near the stage you see artists like cockroaches. Though there are 2 screens but they are so small that I had to use opera-glass to watch the screen!

As for a sound, light and special effects they were not bad. But as we already live in XXI century and for millions of dollars which they spent on the contest I expected more.

Hosts - Ivan Urgant and Alsou spoke English fast and not bad! But I didn't understand why the contest needs hosts because they appeared maybe just for 5 minutes during 2 hours.

Nobody announced contestants, their songs and countries. I had to read the names on the screen.

But music was good, and I enjoyed the songs.

Bilan appeared in the beginning with "Believe".

I liked Patricia Kaas and Jade Ewen, very cool and cheerful German band.

And even Anastasia Prihodko impressed me. Audience was happy and really supported her! Very original perfomance.

Eurovision 2009 - 2nd Semi-Final

There were really many strong contestants and I am happy that almost all of my favourits are in the final!

Except Ireland with a really spirited song "Et Cetera".

But they passed:

Ukraine - Svetlana Loboda - Anti-crisis girl

Azerbaidjan - Arash - "You are always on my mind"

and Estonia - URBAN SYMPHONY

Is it true?

Lyrics
Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Semi-Final (1)
Iceland (RÚV)

Performer: Yohanna
Song title: Is It True?
Song writer(s): Óskar Páll Sveinsson, Chris Neil, Tinatin Japaridze
Song composer(s): Óskar Páll Sveinsson, Chris Neil, Tinatin Japaridze

You say you really know me,
you’re not afraid to show me
what is in your eyes
So tell me about the rumours
Are they only rumours?
Are they only lies?
Falling out of a perfect dream, coming out of the blue.
Is it true?
Is it over?
Did I throw it away?
Was it you?
Did you tell me you would never leave me this way?
If you really knew me
You couldn’t do this to me
You would be my friend
If one of us is lying
There’s no use in trying
No need to pretend
Falling out of a perfect dream, coming out of the blue
Is it true?
Is it over?
Did I throw it away?
Was it you?
Did you tell me you would never leave me this way?
Is it true?
Is it over?
Did I throw it away?
Was it you?
Did you tell me you would never leave me this way?
Is it real?
Did I dream it?
Will I wake from this pain
Is it true?
Is it over?
Baby did I throw it away?

Eurovision Moscow - 1st Semi-Final results

Yes, it was better than the opening! Olimpisky looks great. I was very much impressed by the Firebird in the very beginning.

Malahov and Vodyanova as comperes were not bad. The model is very pretty, Malahov embraced her all time.

As for contestants, my favourite was Yohanna, beautiful blonde in blue dress from Iceland with a love ballad "Is it true?" Happy that she is in the finale and I will see her soon! Though I had very stressful time because Iceland proved to be 10 country which passed into finale.

They say that most strong contestants will be in the second semi-final, waiting impatiently for tomorrow.

Eurovision - Opening

I have watched yesterday evening the ceremony.
Very interesting - I didn't know the day and hour of the opening but suddenly switched on TV at the right moment!
Kirkorov looked not bad, really "pop king".
And I also really enjoyed Gorky Park which managed to inflame the audience in the very end.
Ruslana with Wild dances and T.A.T.U. were not bad too.

Though in general the opening was a shame of Russia. Malahov and Alsou with an awful English and an interpreter which was not better.
Silent bored public. Politicians which decided that it is May Day parade.
And retired artists which looked so piteous in comparison with themselves young and handsome on big screen.

Hope that the song contest will be better.

Jade It's My Time - UK Entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2009

Jade came to Moscow together with a composer Lloyd Webber to show the song and ask Russia to vote it. Lloyd Webber even met Vladimir Putin. The song is lovely, and Jade is a nice singer, but the name of the song "It's my time|" which she repeats so many times and the plea to vote from a world famous composer look a little funny. I doubt that Jade will win.

Anastasia Prihodko will sing for Russia!

Well, Anastasia is not too bad singer. The song was written by Konstantin Meladze, a famous composer. Though he obviously has better songs. There was a scandal because of Anastasia's victory, a lot of dirty words and critics. Were the results of voting really fabricated? It is possible though it is obviously not a fault of Anastasia or Meladze.

My favourite was a girl's rock band Princessa Avenue. They were the best. Pretty girls, beautiful song and a real drive.

Eurovision 2008

I still remember that exciting night. I was in Italy, Riminy, at the hotel room watching TV. It seemed already that Kalomoira from Greece is a winner.

But suddenly the situation changed. When it became clear that Russia wins, I began to cry and cried about an hour.

Personally I liked very much Olta Boka from Albania:

She looked so great like a real star and her song was so beautiful! I still remember and sing it. It's a pity that Olta didn't take a place which she really deserved.

Dima Bilan, winner of Eurovision 2008

"Believe me"

I am not a fan of Dima Bilan but very greatful that he has brought Eurovision to Russia.

And I relly liked his song from Eurovision 2006 "Never, never let you go" (he took 2 place).
